The sun rises to a warmer day than the one before. The group decides not to take the canoe, fearful of overloading it, and begins marching along the river. The group exhausts the last of their food supply as they consume the berries provided by their friends at Orolunga. As they advance, the elves and Musharib detect 4 shadowy figures just beneath the river’s surface. They appear to be trailing the party!
After a discussion, Goomy tosses a rock at the uninvited guests. They scatter and disappear beneath the river. The breeze keeps the hot day from utterly melting the group as they press onward. Eventually, they halt their march as they spot a large reptilian skull staring at them. It worked the first time, so Goomy tossed another rock at the skull. After seeing no response, the group investigated further. The skeleton matches the profile of a snake, and inside the ribcage is another skeleton of similar build to Goomy. Both are charred and burned.
Fortunately, the night brings no nightmares.
