Recently, the talk of the streets and taverns has all been about the so-called death curse: a wasting disease afflicting anyone who have ever been raised from the dead. As the disease takes root, victims dwindle ever thinner and weaker, slowly succumbing to the death they once cheated. Once they finally waste away, they can no longer be raised–and such magic fails even for those experiencing death for the first time.
