The previous day’s rainfall means trudging through mud and fog. The day wears on, and then the group spies some creatures at the edge of the fog. They look humanoid, like halflings, but as the group grows closer, they recognize the proportions of these creatures are off. Their limbs are too long, and their facial features look more impish than human. They mostly ignore the group and play in the mud. Intrigued, Marchmain emulates their behavior and tosses a mudball at Anton. Soon after, the creatures launch a volley of mudballs at the party as they return fire with mudballs of their own.
There’s no accounting for how much and where the mud found itself after the fracas.
