Add the following to the end of Feature: Wanderer:
“You may find no more than 6 pounds of edible food and 6 gallons of potable water each day and no more than 1 pound of food and 1 gallon of water per character by using the Wanderer feature.
For example, an Outlander traveling with 3 companions could find up to 4 pounds of food and 4 gallons of water. If that same Outlander travels with 7 companions, the Outlander could find no more than 6 pounds of food and 6 gallons of water for themself and their companions.
You may use this feature in addition to another activity while traveling (see p. 183 of the Player’s Handbook). For example, you could navigate or forage for additional food and water.
A Ranger with the Outlander background and the Natural Explorer ability traveling in their favored terrain can use the Wanderer feature to provide up to 6 pounds of food and 6 gallons of water. In addition, they can use the Natural Explorer ability when they forage as their activity while traveling to find twice as much food as they normally would.
The Natural Explorer ability only applies in the Ranger’s Favored Terrain, and only applies when the Ranger forages as their activity while traveling. It does not double the amount of food provided by the Wanderer feature.”
