Tossing a Creature: Sometimes, a player may wish to have their character toss or throw another friendly character. To do so, the following conditions must apply:
- The tossed creature must be be willing (otherwise, see the Shove action)
- The tossed creature and their equipped/carried gear must be less than your total carry weight (15 times strength score)
- If the tossed creature and their equipped/carried gear weigh more than half your total carry weight capacity (half of 15 times your strength score), then throwing distances are halved and Strength (Athletics) check to throw are made at disadvantage
- The tossed creature must be the same size as you or smaller
Tossing a creature is an Action. If you run at least ten feet before tossing the creature, you toss the creature a number of feet equal to 10 plus your strength modifier. If you attempt to toss a creature farther than that distance, then you may need to roll a Strength (Athletics) check. The tossed creature lands prone, though the DM may allow a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check in some circumstances to allow the thrown character to land on their feet.
