The group presses onward, hoping to make it to the River Tath. They keep a steady pace, and thankfully manage to spot an oncoming group of serpentfolk in ragged clothing and emitting a stench of death. The creatures stop and briefly search for the hidden party before moving on. As the day draws to an end, the group comes in sight of a small number of huts clustered around the river. Two large creatures perch within, as if waiting for prey. As the group advances, the creatures charge, revealing themselves to be angry, four-armed gorillas. They crash against the party’s front line. After a tense, violent, and anger-fueled battle, the party vanquishes their foes and explores the hut. Goomy discovers a canoe and six serviceable oars.
