5th Day, 19 Mirtul, 1492 DR

A familiar face, that of Flavius Cornelius Eburnus, appears at Simon’s door, first thing in the morning. After a brief reunion and introduction, the group encounters K’lahu and her “work friends.” Flavius has made some acquaintances during his time here in Port Nyanzaru, and, to his surprise, now owes a great sum of coins over a lost bet on the dinosaur races. In return for forgiving Flavius’ debt, K’lahu tasks the group with getting rid of a pair of Zhentarim spies–the tabaxi guides, River Mist and Flask of Wine. Flavius accepts enthusiastically. After the group debates skipping town, slaying the tabaxi, or simply scaring them off, they make their way to Executioner’s Run. After a tense discussion, Flavius convinces the Tabaxi to leave with the iron tokens, though they seem displeased at Flavius for disrupting their work in Port Nyanzaru.

The group heads to their canoes, ready to depart Port Nyanzaru, where Undril Silvertusk, Musharib, and a familiar one-armed dwarf awaits them.

The group “hires” Hew Hackinstone to deliver a message on behalf of Flavius to K’lahu and then serve as a guide to good ol’ Samuel Norwood. After some debate, the group decides to paddle onward, risking a storm the following day. After making their way through the outlying wetlands and farmlands, the group moored their canoes and rested at the home of Isi and Olu.

In the night, Olu sleepwalks into Goomy’s room, mumbling to himself. As Goomy attempts to rouse him, Olu grasps Goomy’s forearm and says, “Speak to the wise guardian of Orolunga, west of Mbala. She can direct you to that which you seek.” The group puzzles over the words before waking Olu, who has no memory of the event, the words, or even of the party’s arrival. Isi acknowledges that Olu sleepwalks sometimes, but has never experienced such memory loss.
