Mid-morning, Sindy discovers what appears to be a clearing and a number of standing stones. The group investigates, and under Simon’s guidance, they clear the stones to reveal a series of murals. They appear to depict a story: a god-like figure descending onto a great city. Its people bow before the new lord, then the new lord slays 9 mythical animals, and the people tremble in fear. The new lord enslaves the people, and they build great structures. The final mural depicts the people being consumed by a great, dark sphere.
Puzzled, the group moves on, slogging through the rain. Musharib does his best to find dryer paths. Nonetheless, the group trudges through plenty of mud. As Goomy attempts to free his boot, a snake lashes out from the jungle and bites. Goomy appears to be okay, though he begins to feel the shivers shortly after dinner.
